What happens on June 27, 2025?
Lesson materials and resources in the Second Step® K–12 digital programs will be updated, along with a full class reset. To learn more about the class reset, read the Annual Class, Training, and Progress Reporting Reset FAQ.
Annual lesson updates coincide with the end of the school year to minimize interference during times when the lessons are actively being taught. Updates that are not lesson-specific also happen throughout the year—for example, to add new supplemental or reinforcement resources to the program. The following summary includes updates that will be made on June 27 and updates that are expected this summer and fall for the 2025–2026 school year
We’re making several updates to our K–12 digital programs based on educator feedback and classroom needs. Our goal is simple: to help educators, leaders, and districts support the development of human skills in real classrooms—without adding stress, extra tools, or steep learning curves. Every update this year is designed to remove barriers so it’s easier for you to make a difference. Below, you’ll find a summary of what’s new for the 2025–26 school year.
