Do you offer SSO (Single-Sign-On)?
Yes, we now offer SSO through Clever, Classlink, and Google so that your users will be able to log into www.secondstep.org using their district credentials.
When can I expect to start using SSO?
If you file a request today, we can have you up and running within two weeks using Clever, Classlink, or Google. We do not offer integrations via other methods or platforms at this time.
So once I’m set up, I can upload a list of teachers and students for each school and they can start using the program?
No, at this time we are only launching the ability to sign in to www.secondstep.org through Clever, Classlink, or Google. License management is not changing and we are not launching roster uploading.
Will there be a Second Step tile or app in my Clever, Classlink, or Google portal? I don’t want my teachers and staff going to SecondStep.org to log in.
Yes, the Second Step app will display in the portal. Your teachers and staff can click on that to be automatically logged in and directed to SecondStep.org.
Is there anything else I should know?
Before you submit a request please be sure that all staff who need access to www.secondstep.org will be able to sign in via your SSO platform. (For example, some districts only load teachers into Classlink or Clever. This means that once the integration is live, counselors or other educators who aren't teachers will lose access.)
How do I get started?
Please send an email that includes the following information to firstname.lastname@example.org:
- Your SSO partner/company/method (Clever, Classlink, Google)
- Your district’s name
- Technical contact at the district’s name, email address, and phone number
- District email domain(s) (schooldistrict.net, cfchildren.org, district.k12.state.us)
- Some districts may have email addresses that end in different domains and we need to know them all
- A preferred integration date which will be finalized with you by the person setting up your integration.
What happens after I have submitted a request?
You will be contacted by our support team within five business days to discuss your requirements and set up a timeline.
