Second Step® SEL for Adults
Role Descriptions
Site Leader
- Is typically the principal at a school, but there may be more than one site leader at a school
- Selects and is part of the Second Step® SEL for Adults Leader Team
- Is responsible for assigning staff roles in the program
- Has access to Leader Team content
- Has access to progress reports
Be sure to designate a backup site leader.
Leader Team Members
- Are invited by the site leader
- Coordinate Second Step® SEL for Adults program implementation
- Learn alongside and support staff throughout the program
- Participate in Leader Team meetings to share insights about what they’re learning and discuss ways to support staff and implement the program successfully
- Answer questions and address staff concerns, monitor progress, and identify social-emotional routines to expand or adopt schoolwide
- Help plan and lead whole-staff meetings
- Have access to leader content
